Find the meeting room
that never clears.
Every building has one. The room where an hour in feels like three, where nobody can say why the afternoon session goes badly. It is not a mystery, it is a measurement, and until somebody takes it the room stays broken.
One floor, one afternoon
The problem has an address.
This is a real office plan with a carbon dioxide reading over each space. The private office on the left sits at 717 ppm, close to outdoor air. The boardroom reads 1,786 ppm.
That gap is the whole argument. Both rooms are on the same floor, the same air handler and the same building management system, and one of them is more than twice as loaded as the other. A single sensor in a corridor would have reported the average and told you nothing. The open-plan desks at 1,185 and 1,385 ppm are the interesting middle: not alarming, but past the point where decision-making measurably degrades.
Nothing about that is visible, and nobody in the boardroom is going to report it. They will just have a worse meeting.
No rollout, no provisioning, no cloud account.
The reason most building sensor projects stall is IT, not hardware. Canary is built to avoid that conversation entirely.
They form their own ESPNow® mesh and relay for one another across floors and outbuildings. No site‑wide WiFi rollout, no per‑device credentials, no captive portal to fight.
Readings land on a server you host, on your own network. There is no vendor cloud in the path, which is a much shorter conversation when the rooms are classrooms.
Each Canary writes to its own microSD card regardless of the network. A unit that loses contact keeps its record, and you can read it back off the card.
The server software is free and unlimited. Cost scales with the number of rooms you want to measure, not with a per‑device licence renewed every year.
A live dashboard, not a screenshot.
The floor plan above and the chart below are the actual interface. It is online now with real logged data, and you can click through every channel yourself.
